Dara Kruman, MSW

Dara Kruman, MSW, a licensed clinical social worker, is dedicated to working with people who have experienced traumatic events often abuse, on their healing path in community. Since 2019, Dara has worked as a therapist and supervisor at Tree House Child Advocacy Center. She provides therapy in Spanish and supervises a team of therapists/interns working with children when first placed in foster care. She also provides evidenced based trauma therapy for children using TF-CBT, PCIT, and TFCBT with components of Problematic Sexual Behavior Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT). Dara completed training for PSB-CBT for school aged children and has facilitated both groups for the children and caregivers in Spanish. In addition to her work at the Tree House CAC, she also works in a private practice with children and adults, offering treatment for trauma and anxiety-including EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy. Prior to her work at the Tree House, Dara worked with children and families in their homes for crisis stabilization, in the school setting, in a federally funded Community Health Center, and a county employment support agency. Her work has primarily been with immigrant children and adults who have experienced multiple layers of trauma.
