Monica Roland, LICSW, is the Proposal Development Administrator with the Youth Services Institute (YSI) at the University of Alabama School of Social Work. In that role, she serves as the liaison between YSI and the Alabama Department of Youth Services and provides technical assistance to the 40+ state funded diversion programs serving Juveniles involved with the legal system across the state. She works closely with the 67 county courts to promote equitable treatment and resources to all juveniles in their communities and reduce institutional commitments for all youth, including those with PSB/ISB.
