Sherry Elder, MA, currently services as a B.A.S.E. therapist and PSB Program Coordinator at The Children's Assessment in Houston, Texas. The B.A.S.E. (Building Appropriate Sexual Education) program is a diversion program for youth who have engaged in Problematic Sexual Behaviors that could result in criminal charges. Sherry has been working at The Children's Assessment Center in Houston since 2017 and has extensive experience working with youth who have been impacted by trauma. She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, Affiliate Sex Offender Treatment Provider, and a Certified TF-CBT Provider. Prior to working at The Children's Assessment Center, Sherry worked at a psychiatric hospital in Houston for several years and was the lead clinician for the children and adolescent units.
