Abe Hickey, NCC, LCMHCS is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor in North Carolina. Abe completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. Abe worked in positions providing music therapy and social services until entering graduate school at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania where he obtained a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling. Abe has also earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in Computer Programming and Development to assist in his interest of using technology in treatment to improve treatment outcomes. Currently, Abe is the Clinical Director and Outpatient Therapist at Aspiring Hearts Counseling in Raleigh, NC. He is also a therapist with the North Carolina Child Treatment Program (NC CTP) at the Center for Child and Family Health assisting in the statewide implementation of Problematic Sexual Behavior treatment for children and adolescents. Abe provides direct treatment to youth and their caregivers in both group and family modalities of the PSB-CBT School-age and PSB-CBT Adolescent treatment models. Additionally, Abe is a rostered Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) clinician.
