Jordan Simmons, PhD, is a post-doctoral fellow and Licensed Psychologist at the Oklahoma Health Campus (OUHC) in Oklahoma City, OK. She received her PhD from the University of Central Arkansas, completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, and has spent the last two years as a postdoctoral fellow at OUHSC/Center on Child Abuse and Neglect. She has been trained in PSB-CBT-S and PSB-CBT-A.
Dr. Simmons leads and co-leads group therapy services for the Problematic Sexual Behavior Programs for School-aged youth (PSB-S), Adolescents (PSB-A), and Preschoolers (PSB-P). Dr. Simmons also serves youth utilizing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has a specific interest in delivering telehealth services to families residing in rural areas across Oklahoma.
In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Simmons maintains an active research role under the mentorship of Dr. Jane Silovsky, examining the typology, characteristics, treatment outcomes, and implementation of evidence-based treatments for youth with problematic sexual behavior with an emphasis on equitable care for rural communities. She also facilitates the Caregiver Partnership Board, which is composed of caregivers who have participated in PSB-CBT™ treatment. In this role, Dr. Simmons collaborates with caregivers to develop resources that inform patient care, support patient-centered research, and promote best practices for other caregivers.
